1. Information We Collect

The App is designed with privacy in mind.

We do not collect, store, sell, or share your personal information.

Depending on the features you use, the App may temporarily access:

  • Bluetooth functionality

  • Nearby Bluetooth devices

  • Notification permission

  • Foreground service permission

  • Location permission (required by Android to perform Bluetooth Low Energy scanning on certain Android versions)

The App does not collect your precise location. Android may require Location permission solely to enable Bluetooth scanning due to operating system restrictions.

2. Bluetooth Scanning

The App scans nearby Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) advertisements to identify devices that may match known smart glasses manufacturer identifiers.

Bluetooth scan results are processed locally on your device.

Unless you explicitly export your scan history, scan information is not transmitted to our servers.

3. Detection History

If the Detection History feature is enabled, the App may store the following information locally on your device:

  • Detection date and time

  • Bluetooth manufacturer identifier

  • Device signal strength (RSSI)

  • Device name (if available)

This information remains on your device unless you manually delete or export it.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties.

We do not upload scan results to our servers.

5. Advertising

If advertisements are displayed within the App, they may be provided by third-party advertising partners such as Google AdMob.

These providers may collect limited device information in accordance with their own Privacy Policies.

6. Analytics

If analytics services are enabled in future versions of the App, anonymous usage information may be collected to improve application performance and stability.

No personally identifiable information will be intentionally collected.

7. Permissions Used

The App may request the following permissions:

Bluetooth

Required to detect nearby Bluetooth Low Energy devices.

Nearby Devices

Required on newer Android versions to scan for compatible Bluetooth devices.

Location

Required by Android for Bluetooth scanning functionality.

The App does not track your physical location.

Notifications

Used to notify you when a potential compatible device has been detected.

Foreground Service

Allows Bluetooth scanning to continue while the App is running in the foreground.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information processed by the App.

Most processing occurs locally on your device.

However, no electronic system can guarantee complete security.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed toward children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so appropriate action can be taken.

10. Third-Party Services

The App may use services including, but not limited to:

  • Google Play Services

  • Google AdMob

  • Firebase (if implemented)

Smart Glasses Detector is designed as an informational and awareness tool only.

The App uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) signals and publicly available Bluetooth manufacturer identifiers to estimate whether compatible smart glasses or similar devices may be nearby.

Because of technical limitations beyond our control, the App cannot guarantee accurate, complete, or real-time detection.

Detection accuracy may be affected by many factors, including but not limited to:

  • Bluetooth being disabled

  • Devices operating in airplane mode

  • Hardware limitations of your Android device

  • Android operating system restrictions

  • Signal interference

  • Walls, buildings, or obstacles

  • Manufacturer firmware updates

  • Device configuration

  • Bluetooth randomization

  • Future hardware or software changes

  • Unsupported smart glasses models

  • Environmental conditions

The App may:

  • Fail to detect supported devices.

  • Detect unsupported devices.

  • Produce false positives.

  • Produce false negatives.

  • Display delayed or incomplete results.

Accordingly:

  • Do not rely solely on this App for your personal safety, security, legal decisions, or privacy protection.

  • Do not assume that no smart glasses are present simply because the App reports no detection.

  • Do not assume that a detected device is necessarily a smart glass or recording device.

  • Always use your own judgment and awareness.

The developers make no warranties or guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, or suitability of any detection results.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, losses, claims, injuries, or expenses arising from:

  • Use of the App

  • Inability to use the App

  • Detection errors

  • Missed detections

  • False detections

  • Incorrect information

  • Inaccurate data

  • Hardware limitations

  • Software limitations

  • Bluetooth limitations

  • Device compatibility issues

This App must not be used for harassment, stalking, intimidation, discrimination, surveillance, or any unlawful activity.

Users are solely responsible for ensuring that their use of the App complies with all applicable laws and respects the rights and privacy of others.
